 DOA - No Motion Here June 25, 2010

After risking life and fingers removing this thing from the clamshell, it was DOA. Tested it on 3 different light fixtures and swapped out four 9 volt batteries and still no joy. I tried to give it zero stars but the 'Zon won't allow that.
Finally bought another brand at Lowes that works without a 9 volt battery and it ... works. For the same price, too.
C'mon, GE; I know you're huge but when you sell trash like this you bring to mind Bell & Howell.

I researched this item before I purchased it and it was exactly what I was looking for. It arrived quickly and I was excited. I installed it at my front door outside light. When I turned the switch on the light came on and stayed on. I called the factory and they said there was not much to trouble shoot and suggested I try another. I sent the first one back and got a replacement and the same thing happened. I was very disappointed.

THIS PRODUCT IS A HASTLE TO WORK WITH BECUASE IT IS NOT VERY SENSITIVE & IT REQUIRES A 9-VOLT BATTERY TO FUNCTION (THOSE ARE EXPENSIVE IN THE FIRST PLACE) & IT CHEWS UP THAT BATTERY IN A WEEK I DO NOT SUGGEST ANYONE PURCHASE THIS TO AVOID HAVING THE ISSUES I DID WITH IT

The idea is sound for a product like this, but GE's execution was poor in producing a light with bad technical glitches. It's unpredictable whether the light will turn off, regardless of no-motion, and it most often never turns itself off.

DID NOT WORK. DOA
MADE IN CHINA -- HAD THE SAME ONE THAT LASTED 9 YEARS.
THIS ONE WAS NOT TESTED - WE SPENT OVER ONE HOUR & COULD NOT GET TO WORK ON ANY SETTING.
SETTING WERE SET WRONG IN CHINA AND DID NOT MATCH INSTRUCTIONS.
WAS SENT BACK TO AMAZON, GE A HOUSEHOLD NAME 10 YEARS AGO NOW MEANS BAD QUALITY.
