 WEAK light! Save your money February 8, 2010

Forget this light. It looks fashionable to be sure, but the blue light is so weak you could never see it from the street. Save your money.

I love the way the item looks it is made nicely - It does not light bright enough however to see the number at night. I am not suprised as solar powered lights tend to have that probblem. My husband is going to wire it to the house. Also the vinyl numbers look contemporary on the box, but are plain regular numbers unlike the picture shown on the box, am not very happy with that. I may go have new vinyl numbers cut at the sign shop.

The system is under power, the light bulb doesn't have high enough wattage to light up the sign brightly. I put foil on the backing, so it is more reflective and seems brighter. I installed it in the winter, so the day sunlight is not enough to illumate the sign for the night.
A very good idea, but they need to test it more before put it on the market.
